Vale S.A. is a Brazilian mining corporation and the second-largest mining company in the world with operations in 34 countries. It is the largest producer of iron-ore, pellets and second largest of nickel. Vale also produces manganese, ferroalloys, copper, bauxite, potash, kaolin, alumina and aluminium.
A lot more than just image capture, an understanding of a corporation’s culture that is mixed with so many other cultures around the world. To portray Vale all over the world, it was necessary to understand and see the subtleties of cultural differences and capture them through a mindful and sensitive approach.
Throughout 2012 and 2013, we traveled the world recording the activities of the brand in various countries: Brazil, Peru, Canada, Wales, England, China, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, New Caledonia, Australia, New Zealand, Oman, UAE Arabs and Mozambique.
The goal: To create an exclusive global image bank, which would represent Vale’s personality.
